Vanilla Stout

I recently moved my stout from it's primary to the secondary and popped in 3 vanilla beans.

How long should I let it sit before I keg it? I was guessing about a week. I'm looking for a good character of vanilla but not overwhelming.

Did you do anything with the beans or just drop them in? If you slit them and scrape out the insides into it 1 week would give it a nice hint. Might want to go longer if you didnt
