Hey all,

I wanted to experiment with mango nectar. I bought one gallon of it from Costco yesterday and want to start a brew using it. Any idea on how much I should add for a gallon must? I was thinking doing about 2/3 of nectar and topping off with water. I'll most likely add mango to secondary as well.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I occasionally buy that stuff for the kids and have been curious as well.

If you have a hydrometer, take a gravity reading.
Dilute to 1/2 to 2/3 then add honey to get to your target OG.

I’ve always had the hunch that mango would be like pears. Meaning that once fermented there wouldn’t be much mango flavor.

Please report back and good luck.
