Hi,
I got 3 used pin lock kegs for FREE! I am trying to keg for the first time and I started just working on 1 keg at a time. On the first keg, I can't figure out where the leak is or if there is a leak. I filled the keg with the homebrew we made and filled it with 10psi. I take the hose off so not to waste C02 if it's leaking.

I check it the next morning and the tank has pressure but not 10psi. It's a bit less. I fill it back to test again. Is this just the beer absorbing C02? or is there a leak? I have sprayed soapy water over the entire top of the keg and see NO bubbles.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
Josh

Yes the beer will absorb the CO2. That's how it gets carbonated. You need to leave the CO2 attached to fully carbonate it.

And congrats on the free kegs!
