us-05 question

just did a SmaSh with Maris Otter and Amarillo, 5.5 gallons total in the fermenters (just got 2 3 gallons carboy for experiment) so split the batch in 2. first carboy I pitch a wlp029 slurry and in the 2nd I want to pitch us-05, i have 11.5 gram packet, so do i pitch the whole packet or just part of it? OG of the wort is 1.056.

I'd just pitch the whole packet, it won't hurt anything to pitch a little heavy like that.

will do! i will just setup a blow off cause the carboy is pretty full!
