I have never made hard cider before and tried a recipe of my own (don't know if I should have done that). I did a bit of research and tried it and can't wait to see how it turns out (and to let everyone know of my success or failure). I used 4 gallons of store bought Apple Cider (pastureized with asorbic acid added and no other additives) 1 Gallon Cranberry cocktail juice and 32oz of 100% cranberry juice. I then pitched Prise de Mousse(EC1118). It has been in primary for about 5 days. I will check it in a couple of days and move to secondary How Long should I leave it in secondary and when should I cold crash? I am planing on keging and force carbonateing. I hope that this did not turn out to be an experiment in what not to do. Let me know what you think so far and I will update as as I go.
Thanks
