Trip to San Jose in March

Hey y'all,
I have a business trip to San Jose for a microbiology/sterilization seminar next week (Mar 3-6) is San Jose. I would love some good recommendations for brew pubs, breweries, dinner, and nightlife if possible?

The only problem is I won't have a car. I'll be based at the Hilton right next to the Great America amusement park. I don't mind catching a cab, but don't want to spend 30 minutes in one either...

I've only been there for lunch, but liked Faultline Brewing Co...

You'll also be near a light rail station which can take you down to downtown San Jose, or up to Mountain View, where there are good dining/drinking options.

I can't be much more help, as I haven't lived there for over a decade, and usually only get up there for day trips for work these days...
