I love this. This is the best high gravity brew I've tasted yet.

I want to make a clone to this. Does anyone have any recipes or advice? Particularly, what yeast should I try to get for this? All I know is that it is an ale yeast. Very tasty stuff. I want to make some of this!

I LOVE me some Bigfoot. Was so sad they took it from a 6 pack to a 4 this year. BS. Same price, less beer. I am sure I will still buy a case though. This years batch has proven delicious too. I would love to brew a clone. I just couldn't wait so long to drink it lol

I have checked the website. I have an idea of the hop varieties used and the malts used. I don't have idea of the quantities though.

The Chico strain of yeast you mentioned, is there a yeast similar to that I can purchase? Or, is it worth trying to use some Bigfoot in a small container of wort to get a culture?

That's odd. I bought a 6-pack of it today. There was one more in the cooler too. I suppose I'm going to have to go back for it. I agree with everyone about "I love me some Bigfoot". This brew is incredibly good. Impresses me on all fronts.

put 2 in to cold-condition for a year or so about a month ago. and yep, a 4 pack

:O of the 2013 batch!? If so, we get jipped in Florida.. lol

Just checked my bottles. I've bought the 2012 batch. I'm definitely going back for that other 6-pack. Sure, it's $12 for a 6-pack, but a bud light would cost that much in any bar. So I consider it a bargain.

I too, LOVE me some Bigfoot.

I'd stock up on those! They never last more than a night with me ;) I wish I could save something that long. My personality won't let me unless I forget about it. I guess I need to make a lot more beer to do that ;)

Thank you for the recipe. I will be definitely looking out for your updates on how this batch turns out.

Do you have any specifics on your fermenting temps. and other details that may help the rest of us out once we use your recipe? My experience has taught me that "details" are the difference between good results and average results.

Just consider it pre aged! Haha probably better than fresh TBH!

Chico yeast is US05 or Wyeast 1056.
