Well, one of my home brew 2011 goals were to enter a competition, I got an early start on it.
Took my Wicked Imp Black Ale to the meeting and entered it in the "Best of 2010"
There were 13 other beers in the class everything from IPA's to Stouts. There were ~50 judges and 8 beers didn't even get a vote for "best of" so i feel kinda honored!
I took 3rd place!!! I was separated from first by only 2 votes. 3 more total votes and I would have won. So now that I know I am on the right track with it, time to start tweaking this recipe.
