I had never used citrus in my brewing before and I added WAY too much dried lime peel. My sample tastes too sour. Is it possible to boil off some additional wort and add it to some of what is in my secondary in an attempt to dilute the excessive lime taste? If I'm careful with the temperatures will the remaining yeast in my brew ferment the additional wort? If I shouldn't try this what can I do to "sweeten" the flavor?

You're best bet is to make a second, sweeter beer to blend together. Myself and others have successfully added unhopped wort to batches (mine was a batch that I got horrible efficiency on and wanted to add DME to keep true to the original expectations. It can be done, but blending is typically the better option if you can.
