That's only helpful if we know what style it is, and he wants to know the particular brew. Otherwise, there are thousands of commercial examples cited in the BJCP categories

The name of this thread is "name this style in pictures". For each style in the guidelines, there are several, usually 5-10, commercial examples. So rather than narrowing the field, it actually expands the potential candidates by an order of magnitude.

I am a big fan of the Best Brown. I drank a bunch of that when I was on the east coast a couple weeks ago. Nice and chocolately with beautiful complement of American hops.
