Guys,

When installing dip tubes, valves, and thermowells in your kegles, do you use teflon or any other type of sealing tape?

I'm concerned about the effect boil temperatures will have on the tape.

Any advice is appreciated.
Cheers,
Dageaux

Most common thread sealing compounds, including teflon tape, are rated for temperatures above 212 F.

I use Teflon tape on all my fittings. Never had a problem with leaks, off flavors, or having the material rot away and need to be replaced.
