Does anyone know the thread type for the Nukatap Counter Pressure Bottle filler? I'd like to use this 1/4" NPT Male to 1/4" MFL Male Flare Adapter from brewhardware.com, however I suspect the Nukatap has bsp threads rather than npt. Maybe I can just use some teflon tape or a gasket to ensure a leak free connection. What I'm hoping to do is use silicone tubing with the bottle filler, rather than evabarrier/duotight, and this adapter seems like the ticket.

I don't know the thread type, but what about the Nukatap/Intertap ball lock tip? Screw the ball lock post to your tap. Then you can just hook up a beer disconnect with the silicon tubing on it. You could always get a ball lock disconnect with the barb (1/4") if you're wanting to put straight tubing on it or the ones with MFL threads and use a swivel nut (5/16") if you need a larger barb for the tubing.

Thanks, yesfan! That is a handy attachment, I totally forgot they made that! Definitely worth having for multiple purposes.

Right now I'm trying to dial in my bottle conditioning process using a nukatap filler and prepurged kegs (with priming sugar solution added pre-purge). I connect a faucet directly to my "bottling" keg with an adapter, then connect the nukatap to the faucet with the included duotight 1/4" bsp adapter. It works fine, however I've been thinking I can reduce the number of connections by simply getting a 1/4" male bsp mini ball valve to barb for the nukatap, and ditching the faucet/adapter situation. This would also allow me to use all silicone tubing, which I prefer because I can boil it to sanitize.

Basically, I'm trying to simulate this tapcooler deal:

Either way, I figure it's always nice to have multiple options for connecting things and tubing choices, etc.

I don't have it, but I do like the Tapcooler. I'm wondering if something similar could be rigged up using a couple of Kegland's 2L bottle style posts, a tee, and some beer/gas line.

Right now, I just use the ball lock tip on my taps and a stainless racking cane with a disconnect on the end of the beer line. I stick the cane through a #2 stopper in the bottle. When the pressure starts to equalize, I just "burp" the bottle by squeezing the stopper to let co2 out of the bottle. Cap on foam and done.

Did we ever find out which connection it is? I want to extend the insert with tubing so I can fill bombers. I don’t have enough room since my tower isn’t quite tall enough.
