Check this out guys. Some students at Clemson are raising money to outfit their own lab to culture local wild yeasts specifically for brewing.

My LHBS recently highlighted some of their yeast. Couldn't keep the stuff on the shelfs! So yes, it seems this local yeast movement is starting to happen.

My daughter and son in-law brought me three different Southyeasts to try. I'm now doing a split batch of my pale ale recipe using Native Strong Ale and US-05.
