So, my hops have been in pots for a few weeks (Cascade, Goldings, Saaz). Getting ready to transplant in a week or two. I planted two rhizomes per pot. I remember that there was a little confusion as to which rhizome was which. But I just planted what I thought were the right ones in the right pots. However, now that my Goldings have surfaced, two of the shoots are different colors than the other one. Is that only because they are different heights/ages? Does anyone know what the color is supposed to be. Has anyone had similar experiences?

Here is a picture of my "Golding" pot....

Thanks -

They look fine. Since there is a progression, I suspect one end of the rhizome rooted better and the bigger shoot is hogging the nutrients. That will change as the root system grows.
