I was quite worried about starting into brewing beer. I had some
moderate success in wine and ginger beer. Beer seemed a step too
far, though.

Thanks to lots of research and reading everyone's posts on here,
however, I made my way into extract brewing, using steeping
grains and adjuncts and such.

And now. Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again - I make
a doggone good porter. :)

With any online community you will find the occasional troll, but they are few and far between on HBT. Almost everyone is very helpful and if you ask the right questions you'll get a lot of great information. I read something on this site most every day and file it away.

As a result of the great wealth of knowledge that exists here I am improving my process and product. Even people that were skeptical years ago have told me that I have upped my game!

Glad you are stepping into the expansive universe of brewing beer!

Welcome to a great hobby. I just tapped my ginger lemon saison, it has a good bite. So now you can brew a ginger beer with a kick :mug:
