tasting the sample

I know its not wrong but still feel weird so I ask my comrades is it messed up to let my daughters drink the sample from a green beer? ( after brew day pre fermentation so no alcohol)
 
I think the consensus is that it's NOT beer until the yeast is added, if that helps.
 
Are you trying to punish them? The few times I have tasted the sweet wort, it was way too sweet for me.

It only starts producing alcohol after the yeast is pitched. Before then it is a sweet horrible non-alcoholic mixture.
 
I don't see a problem with them tasting it at any point in the process. I think it is important to teach them to respect it and appreciate the flavor. All their peers are going to try to teach them later is to get drunk.
