Tasting Notes
Rose petals add a \\"spice\\" note - not really any rose aroma at all.
9 lbs 2 Row (Marris Otter)
¾ lb Carapils
.4 lb Crystal 120
½ lb Chocolate
¼ lb Black Patent
3 oz Roasted Barley
Single Mash infusion using 4.5 gallons of water between 152 – 154

Add to wort after sparge:
1 lb of Lactose

For 60 Minute boil add:
.5 oz Galena for 60 mins
1 tsp yeast nutrient, 1 tsp irish moss, and chiller for 15 mins
.5 oz Santium (or Spalt as sub) @ 2 mins

Turn off heat and add:
1 oz of Culinary Rose Petals at 0 mins and let steep for 10 mins. Cool wort and transfer to primary – I purchased mine from this place http://www.dragunara.com/cart/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1&page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=801&category_id=7&vmcchk=1&Itemid=2

1 pkg of US-05 yeast

Didn't really know what I was going after when making this. But, it's well liked by those that have had it. I've done both standard carb on CO2 and now have a nitro setup: force carb with stout tap is pretty dang awesome.

Small glass for the pic here
