Pardon if this sounds like a silly question, but wondering if someone in the UK can answer - what styles of beer (besides the obvious bitter) would one be likely to find served on a handpump there?
I would guess the lower carbonated styles?
I gather mild is a rarity nowadays. Brown ale, aka Newcastle? Would Irish Red Ale be wrong? Porter? The Scottish ale family akin to the bitter family? Others? Would you find barleywine on a handpump around the holidays?
Just wondering. Thanks for any replies
