Style category question

If I brew a Vienna Lager (7A), as an ale, what category would I enter it in?

It depends mostly on what the beer tastes like. Is it estery? If so, don't enter it as a lager. If it's clean tasting (like a lager) enter it as a vienna lager (many ales have won lager categories).

Could it fit the guidelines as an Altbier?

There's always the default 'specialty beer' category.
