I picked up an old, ungrounded fridge (for free!) the other day and plan to use it as a fermentation chamber. I'll be doing cooling only since my apartment is always in the mid 80s. I'll be using this thread for my wiring setup. :mug:

Only question is, do I have anything to worry about with my fridge not having a ground wire?

If it's that old than it's more than likely its grounded through the neutral. There's things you can do to get a dedicated ground, but a two prong fridge shouldn't effect your STC. May not be the optimal set up for sure, but I wouldn't sweat it.

Thanks guys. How do I replace the cord? Doesn't sound easy for someone with zero experience.
