Star San Suds

I used Star San for the first time - 1 oz to five gallons of water. There were left over suds in my carboy...is this okay?

indeed, dont fear the foam. And since it sounds like you are new to the awesomeness of star san. For future you can just make like a gallon of it and keep it in a jug and reuse it multiple times. you done need to make 5 gallons to clean out a carboy or bucket. Just dump a gallon in, shake it up, then save and reuse.

yeah. doesnt effect the taste or anything. I once racked an entire beer onto like 24oz of starsan liquid and couldnt taste a thing

Yes do not fear the foam. And get a spray bottle and vinator (if you bottle at all).
