Wow, this is strange.

Tonight has to be the first night I have spent at home in the last two months without watching hockey. I'm usually good for 3-4 games a week even without the playoff races.

Can't wait 'till Friday!!

Here are my second round picks in order of confidence...

Vancouver
Boston
Pittsburgh
Anaheim

Hockey starts on thursday. Who are you watching on Friday? I know Vancouver/Chicago play tomorrow night.

My bad.

One less day to wait, woo-hoo!

Any sports team with "duck" in the name should automatically be hated.

At least they dropped the "mighty".

You cannot know how much this name distresses me.

When the franchise was awarded, a buddy and I were considering season seats for the inaugural season. Then they announced the team name. We withdrew immediately.

Seriously? A top flight professional franchise named after a kid's movie?

With the name change and passing years I've become more tolerant.

Hell, I was in the building when Scott Need-a-shower hoisted Lord Stanley. Was I rooting for the team? No. Did I have a sip of Champagne? no comment...

don't worry he'll take a run at datsyuk and pavel will step out of the way like stevie did in '02. leaving pronger with a busted up knee from crshing into the boards.:D

You know Datsyuk might just take Pronger by surprise! He's been known to lay out an open ice hit once in a while!

I'm seriously hoping for a Detroit-Boston matchup for the finals. And it'd be nice to play Chicago on the way!

Bruins are still playing?
Damn, this wait between series has been interminable. I love playing the WhalerCanes as I can hold to my old hatred of the Whalers while also laughing at my friends in North Carolina who suddenly "love" hockey. :)

Shecky watches hockey? :drunk:

Never going to happen, especially the chicago part.

I missed most of that as my brew day went longer than expected and I also had to race off for a concert that 3 friends were playing. TOFU (tons of fun universty). Awesome spoken word with music.

You blew off your team to go see a guy in sweats with his hands in his pockets?

No wonder Luongo sucked. He could feel a disturbance from the collective.

Damn it. My Mom is insisting a go on a trip with her. I thought it was going to be by jet to vegas. Now she doesn't wanna fly anywhere due to that blasted flu. So now it's a week long drive to boringtown USA. (Not even sure what town yet... probably a cheap Indian casino.. she likes to hit the slot machines. I hate them.)

Do they show canucks games in sprts bars down there?

Watching the game at a bar should not be a problem. Most of the games are on Versus or NBC down here. It should just be a matter of asking for it, if it is not already tuned in.

3rd now, some great goaltending the second half of this game. Waiting for Hossa or Datsyuk to finish this one off...

But it's sunny outside and there's a book and a hammock with my name on it.

Some jack asses are sugestting playoff overtime should be 4 on 4. Why can;t they just leave the fracking game alone!!!

Makes me wanna watch baseball......... (ok I burst out laughing 5 seconds after typing that.)

Haha I know! Sunny here too but hard to pull myself away, keep thinking the next play will be the clincher, then outside!

Cam Ward had one hell of a game last night. The bruins were definitely FLAT for most of the game, but they had several opportunities and Ward kept Carolina in that game. There was no possibility of momentum for the Bruins because he shut them down.

36 saves is something to be proud of, especially with about 6-7 of them being great shots. I just hope the Bruins can situate themselves better on the powerplays and get their heads back in the game.
