Tomorrow SWMBO and I will be doing a partigyle.

First running will be a RyePA with Columbus, Northern Brewer and Cascade.

2nd/3rd(?) runnings will be... drumroll please... sahti! Got some fresh juniper branches and berries from the hills of Washoe Valley and I'm ready to get my historic-brew on!

Did a pale ale last night.
Big Beer tonight. IIPA - Should hit about 10%. 8 oz hops in the boil and plan on 4oz dryhopped.

Brewing right now - 30 min left to go in the mash. a tweaked vesion of AHS West Coast Pale Ale. Different hop bill & using Wyeast British 1098.

It was great last time I brewed it without the tweaks, but hey, why not make it a little my own..

I'm mid boil. A cream ale.
7 lbs 2 Row
2 lbs Flaked Corn
.5 lbs Carapils

1 oz Cascade @ 60
1 oz Cascade @ 10

something nice and quaffable for the springtime!

Right now I am brewing my first 10 gallon batch. It's an AG Amber with half going to be dry hopped with S-05 and the other half I'm pulling some wort half way and adding a couple pounds of sugar, cooking down and browning a little and adding to the fermenter with WLP 500. So I'll have a Hoppy Amber/Belgian Amber split batch. First split batch, first 10G batch. so far so good. Waiting for 10G sparge water to get to temp. (might not need it all but want to make sure I got enough.)

Just got my new 15 gal conical on Wednesday so I'm breaking her in with a 13 gal batch of blond ale on Sunday. Got my starter going yesterday and I'm gonna step it up tonight so it's ready for me on Sunday.

My two boys (9 and 3) are watching cartoons right now - and discussing how annoying it is to listen to my homebrew bubble - they're just jealous because of how awesome I am!

A modified version of Edwart,s House Ale and a hopped up red ale.

I got a bunch of partial packages of hops left over from the Lil' Sumpin' Sumpin' clone I did last month. These batches will use most of them up.

Tomorrow I will be brewing an orange honey wheat for the wife. This will be my first wheat. Do I skip the irish moss?

If you want it cloudy like a traditional hefe or wit, yes. If you want it clear like a Krystalweizen, then go to town with the Irish moss.

I'd love to brew but my back's not healed up yet. The good news is that the beer I have kegged is going to age and refine more since I also can't drink while in recovery.

Would love to brew in this beautiful 75-degree weather, but both of my fermentors are full. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be able to rack one into the keg and brew up a new batch. Not sure what yet - probably something English to use up my expired Bedford British yeast.

Tomorrow I will be brewing an orange honey wheat for the wife. This will be my first wheat. Do I skip the irish moss?

You can use Irish moss in your wheat beer. It helps the protein drop out of suspension but does nothing to the yeast. If you're using a hefe yeast it will still be cloudy like usual, but might be a little brighter. I use some in all of my wheat beers.

Got the house to myself today, and finished up all of my "obligations" by noon, so I decided to try my hand at doing a small BIAB batch. Only had like 6 lbs of base malt, so figured this would be an easy way to whip something up, with what I have on hand.

Doing a 3g batch of All Citra APA/IPA, depending on what this pre-boil gravity comes back at, so I can decide on the exact hop schedule.

Kind of fun trying a different method, and not having to bust out ALL of the gear!!

Happy Brew Day :mug:

Made NB's caribou slobber and did a full boil extract everything went according to plan! :) not bad for only my second batch!

woohoo, my first Dunkelweizen is boiling away now! On a side note: never use wheat DME again! I'm sure there must be a better way to mix it into the wort...but I have yet to discover it.
