got a great deal on 1 lb of Amarrillo and 1 lb of Fuggles(us)

now what to do with it?

I am only doing extracts with steeping grains

so my other question is what kits would work with these two hops?

:D

I'd make all Amarillo ipa. With that much hops you could really get a nice aroma with a boatload of finishing hops. Make almost any style English ale. With fuggles. What was the deal?

i got the same deal but with cascade too. I would suggest getting a scale and weighing them out in increments of 1,2,3,4, oz and vacuum sealing them. Then make a bad ass IPA!!!!

Look at american ales or IPA for the Amarillo. English beers for the fuggles. Both are nice hops that should work in a lot of recipes. You can brew from recipes and make your own kits.

well I took my hops to work with me (I work in a science lab) to weigh

them out on our analitical scale

man did I stink up the place (was a good smell to me)

I was wearing my lab coat and gloves

2 hours after I finished I walked up to talk to the Microbiology Prof

he says "what is that smell?"

I told him I was breaking up some hops

he goes "is that legal? where did you get them?"

man what a fun day

:rockin:

I did manage to get them split down to 1/2 oz and 1 oz portions

well I got 2 lbs for $30.00 us

at least I think that was a deal

:mug:

well, how fellow brewers up!

i paid significantly more for a lb of amarillo, and i have 1 oz left!

im lookin at one more lb of those, centennial, and cascade for the brweing season.
