Amarillo Armadillo

5 lbs Maris Otter
.5 oz Amarillo 60 min.
.5 oz Amarillo 5 min.
1 oz Amarillo 0 min.

Bry-97 yeast.

Mashed at 148 for 90 minutes.

Target OG.1.044 actual 1.049

Simply AMAZING!

I am not good at describing flavors but I would put this in my top 10 of 71 brews.
 
Last summer I made a 2-row/Amarillo SMaSH that I thought was awesome. I love Fremont Brewing's Summer Ale, that's what it is. Here is a post from their brewer on how to recreate it:

They call for Great Western Pale Malt, I used 2-row. I'm not sure what the differences are, really, but my 2-row version was tasty. I bet Maris Otter would be yummy as well. I did try to follow the hop schedule.
