I brewed an Orange Hefe this weekend. I airated and pitched the yeast at 71 deg but 12 hrs later it has no noticable fermentation. I used WL300 without a starter. In the primary I added 6 oranges sliced up. Would the acid from the oranges delay the yeast from starting?

You really need a starter with the liquid yeast if you're after a fast start. Without a starter, anything between 12 - 48 hours is pretty normal. No need to worry, however.

I was a little pre-mature with my post. As I got home last night it was bubbleing away!! Thanks Guys!!!!
