I have narrowed down my 80/-, which I think I will be naming (and I rarely name brews more than "Irish Red, brewed 4/28/10) Shellycoat 80/-

Please let me know if you see any issues with grain bill/hops.

Thanks!

Oh, right. I was just looking at the lighter pilsen color.

How about NB Gold LME?

Or would a DME be better? I live right by NB so I usually figure that the LME I get from them is very fresh.

With bitterness <20IBU, it will be not noticeable at all, like in mine 80/-, which has ~22IBU. Malt sweetness will hide it. I'd add more hops, just to get ~25IBU.

Anyway, WY1728 will do most to your beer to give it "Scottish character". Just don't forget to add roasted barley (1.5oz is enough).

I am doing a late addition 3.15#@60 and 3.15#@15, so I think I'll get more IBUs than the recipe implies.
