Hello,
There seems to be a strange gradient in my recent batch of lager.
In the carboy, after about 2 weeks, the beer was very dark at the bottom and got progressively lighter towars the top until it was crystal clear.
After I added the bottling sugar and gave it a very gentle stir to make it homogenous, less the sediment.
Now, after sitting in the bottle for a week, it has done the same thing. Picture included. The carboy situation looked the same except with 23L instead of 1L.
Is this normal?
I’ve also included a photo of the primary after about 10 days. I think there may have been an issue initially as I suspect it was pitched too hot in error but I did pitch again about 3 days after once I noticed to activity. It was a different strain of yeast as I did not have the same kind.
There is also a photo while transferring to the carboy.
Thanks!
