Secondary??

Greetings.....
First batch is bubbling!!! It is a BB Oatmeal Stout. From what I read here on the forum, I cant decide on leaving in the primary or using secondary. I'm inclined to leave in fermenter....just seems easier. If so, how long to leave in fermenter? 3 weeks then bottle?

At any rate, the house smells like a brewery!! :rockin:
 
I left mine in the primary. Turned out great. Mine was a whiskey oatmeal stout and I just added the oak chips to the primary.
 
ooooohhhh...... your a brave man!!! this type of heading/thread has caused alot of **** storms around here(good luck)

But down to your qeustion: you anwsered it yourself leave for 3 week s and bottle for atleast a month
 
I use a secondary because I need to free up a primary. Also I have less garbage going into my bottling bucket. I've done both ways with zero problems in 87 batches.
