secondary temp

So i have some hard cider that has been sitting in the primary for a while and i am now ready to rack it to the secondary. The primary has been at room temp and i am now considering moving the secondary to the garage. The average temp here in the great northwest is between 50 & 60f. Is the lower temp in the garage appropriate for the secondary? I am thinking it is ok since the bulk of fermentation is done.
 
I'd be a little nervous with those temp swings though. You really want to try and keep the temp stable
