Hey Y'all!

Brewed what seems like it is going to be a great porter this past Sunday. I want to tranfer to a secondary for a little bit of aging, and am thinking of adding Vanilla and Coffee to the secondary. My only question is.... How much?
Moving to a secondary too soon after one week?

I know, there are benefits to leaving in primary and skip secondary, but... I plan on letting this sit for about a month before bottling and will fill up my primary on the same day.

Let me hear it!

I would let sit in the primary for a couple more weeks than secondary onto your additions. I've never used coffee (since I can't stand the stuff), but I've used vanillia. Your homebrew shop or grocery should have real vanillia beans. When you rack to secondary put two beans that you have split and put them in first and rack on top. Then leave in the secondary for a week or so.
