Why don't you try a pilsner and go from there?

TBL - yup, that's the general plan. I was mainly curious if anyone narrowed down the hops and yeast. There is no specific hops character that I can discern, so I suspect no late additions. Anyway, first batch in a couple weeks.

Off the cuff is say go with what you like, I use saaz in all my pilsners German or Czech, it just works for me. You can't go wrong with anything of the noble variety. If hop bitterness is low, shoot for 18-22 IBUs. I feel the keys to good lagers is high quality pils malt.
