Scrap Parts Stir Plate

Threw together a stir plate from random bits and pieces....

5" PC fan with 4 mounting screws
2 decent magnets
CD jewel case
4 standoffs with bolts
Old Nintendo 5.2V 450mA adapter
Crazy glue

Here it is showing the stack up. The screws were put in enough to keep the CD Case suspended just above the magnets.

Here it is showing my test run with a 9V battery.

Damn, you stole my CD cover idea... I'm doing something kinda like that, but with a smaller fan.

was thinking about doing this with an old VHS tape case. I dont know why, I already have a stir plate and a spare that is similar to what you did, except it just has 1/4" pieces of wood on the corners to hold the flask up.
