So I just bought a sanyo mini fridge for 30 bucks. It is model sr-3660s and is 3.7 cf. It's a little small but will work for now. My question is that the ice tray on top is preventing me from making it a two keggerator system. Can the ice tray be removed or is this what keeps the fridge itself cold. Thanks for the help.

That's what keeps the fridge cold. Damage that and bye bye fridge! I know some have CAREFULLY bent it down and avoided bending the tubing and had success. Seems a bit risky to me. Or, if you do break it... then you have a nice fermentation chamber.
