Am making a hibiscus mango brew and I want to know what's the best method of sanitizing the hibiscus. I'm using 1 pound of hibiscus for a 5 gallon batch. I don't want to boil the hibiscus cuz I don't want to extract all of its flavor. Can I just use star-san?

I used the hibiscus to make a tea and then added the tea to secondary. Boiling the water first and then letting it cool down to tea making temp helps too. I didn't find that I necessarily had to sanitize it.

This.

Look in the Hi Nelson! thread for tips/narratives on this method. I've done it twice with great results.
