So I scored a couple of vials of expired San Diego super yeast and decided to add both to a 1ltr starter. I used the calculator on the brew united site and all was looking good until I went to transfer to a 2 ltr bottle so I could chill and decant. About 10 minutes after I turned off the stir plated, the yeast was already floculating. Take a look at the pic, does this look normal for this yeast?

By the way, I asked some of my local home brewers and a couple said I looked good. No nasty smells and I did use white labs yeast nutrient along with 100 grams of dme.

Looks good to me. One caveat w/ SDSY, it has a very narrow temperature band; stay within the parameters & all is good-one of my favorite yeasts.
