I have always done BIAB's on the stove when doing all grain but recently transitioned to doing BIAB's in an old cooler (One that doesn't have a drain system or is designed to hold liquid for consumption I.E Coffee, cold water).
I'm just worried that the cooler might be leaching toxins into my beer. The cooler is pretty old , pre '85, and like i said its not designed to drink out of. The beer , a barley wine, tasted okay but someone said it had a strange plasticy taste.

Should I be concerned?

P.S the cooler is a Rubbermaid if that makes a difference.

Coolers are not very expensive. If there is a question I would buy new, and I'm pretty cheap ;)
