Rough week in the home brewery

had a bad few days, first I broke my autosiphon a couple of days ago trying to get the tubing off. Then today a blonde I was brewing to enter a competition turned into an APA after a hop addition snafu and to finish it off I forgot to turn off the power to my element after cleaning the pot and it went pop after I drained the water. At least the beer made it into the fermentor and will be entered in the competition instead.

It may do well...I just had a commercial hoppy blonde that was very good.

Forget the autosiphon. Buy a 1/2" stainless steel racking cane from your equipment purveyor of choice and it'll last forever.

bwarbiany, may have to do that. I do like the convenience of the autosiphon though.

I suppose it could be entered as a hoppy blonde, but this being my first time entering something I thought I would play it safe with a beer that everyone has liked so far. Maybe next time I will try something a little different.
