Well, I made a bonehead move this afternoon. I dropped my un-sanitized thermometer in my must. Is must more resistant to infection than wort? What are the chances of an infected batch from doing that?

Do not worry man! Yes must is more resistant to infection than wort. If you've done all things right, especially if you've pitched plenty of healthy yeasts,so I think there will be little chance your must/wine be infected only by that thermometer.

Thanks for the reply. I did pitch a lot of yeast. It is a 1 gallon batch and I used a Wyeast smack pack (4184)

You should be fine. If it helps, you can send me a bottle and I will let you know if it is Ok in about 9 months or so. :drunk:
