I trimmed back my first growth from my 2nd year Willamette hops and I have seen somewhere on here that ppl put those shoots in beer bottles of water and got some nice looking roots.

I was wondering if there's a certain way to do this? Or just have the shoots cut end in the water to grow a new root system.

I filled 5 clean beer bottles most the way with tap water and a small amount of miracle from and put the cut end of the shoots in the water. How far shld I let the roots get before I transplant?
