Red Oak Aging

Would you please give me some advice, pleaseee...

Is it possible to use RED OAK for aging spirits? like whiskey and others?

It is an honor for those who are willing to provide advice and also for those who have experimented with RED OAK

Red Oak is very resinous. If you don't mind your drink tasting like cat urine, do it. Personally, I wouldn't.

lol! Not sure how to interpret ^that response^ but a bit of research does indicate that while there are numerous subspecies of red oak in general it is not used for aging wine or spirits. I would think the reasons would apply to beer as well.

But, what the heck, it's your beer, do what you like, and let us know how it turns out
