Hey all i wanted to add a thermometer to the output of my CFC so i ordered a stainless tee and this thermometer from Amazon.

It was the only one that had a 1.5 inch stem that would fit into the top of the tee. Problem is that the thermometer is WAY off. I put it in an ice bath for about 10 minutes and it won't go under 50 degrees F. Then I tried 120 degree water and it wouldn't go above 85. I just ended up getting 65 degree water and calibrated it at the 65 degree mark just because I'm using it to measure fermenting temperatures.
Anyone have any experience with this thermometer or recommendations for another one? Not sure if it's just defective or just a crappy thermometer.
