Bought a batch of grain a few weeks ago for a lawnmower ale type. Not feeling the need for a lighter brew now so I'm trying to come up with a modification to a decent IPA or even a DIPA.

What I have is 7# of 2-row and 2.5# of Golden Promise.

Looking for suggestions on additions to the grain bill to bring it up to IPA/DIPA level with a Citra based hop profile.

I just don't want to waste a brew on a blonde ale at this time of year.

Thanks!

You dont need much in the grain bill for a basic ipa. Just add more 2-row or pale ale malt, till you get to a desired gravity. Say 13-17lbs total if you dont know your efficiencies. If you like crystal malt in your IPAs you can add a 1/2lb of C40.
