I was assembling another batch this evening and started thinking...
What if I racked my AW into a secondary at three weeks, and started another batch right on top of the yeast cake?
A packet of yeast is only a buck, so it's not like I would save any money...
Would the AW clarify any earlier after it was racked? The yeast suspended in the AW would continue to ferment sugars still in the AW wouldn't it?
I know that there is always a chance of infection whenever transferring from one vessel to another. Besides that risk, would there be any benefits?
Thanks,
Michael
