I've got a APA fermenting right now and want to dryhop it with a Simcoe and Amarillo. Should I use equal quantities or more Amarillo? I know Simcoe can be pretty potent so wasn't sure if it would dominate the beer.
Was thinking 2 ounces total but could add more if recommended.
Thanks.

Simcoe and Amarillo are a perfect pair in equal parts IMO. What was your hop schedule and OG for the beer?

I used 0.5 oz Simcoe and 1oz Cascade at 15 mins and flameout (have Amarillo on order this week).
OG was 1.061 (IPA territory).

At 1.061 I would go with 1.5 or 2 oz of each. Both have good aromatics that blend perfect with each other so you cant go wrong with a big dry hop.

Amarillo doesn't need any partnering.

I may do an Amarillo smash beer soon... It's one hop I have little knowledge of despite its popularity. I've got a couple of pounds arriving soon so should be good to go for a while.
