Quick disconnects

I just purchased a plate chiller and plan to get a pump soon. I want to set it all up with quick disconnects but, before I spend more money than necessary I thought I would check. I have a bunch of quick disconnects already that are for use with air compressor hoses. Would these work?

What's the ID?
1/2" is highly desirable but the air disconnects I use in my shop are nowhere near that - I'm going to guess 1/4" tops.
I would not recommend going that route...

I also use the camlocks but bought them from bargain fittings. Here is their website: http://www.bargainfittings.com

And yes, the quick dissconnects that are used in the shop are 1/4" and most of them are brass at least that is what I have on mine. Mine also tend to have oil in them.

Brewhardware.com has a pump connection kit that I purchased and used to get handle on what I needed to plumb my entire system. It was a great starting point.
