Question before making my first goat scrotum porter

I am looking recommendqtions for the optional ingredients that are listed in most GSA recipes. Please let me know if people recommend the licorice etc, and if people recommend the peppers, what kind (ie jalapeño, habanero) and how many. any imput is greatly appreciated.

Yes, put everything in there and more of it than you think is reasonable. I'm pretty sure that's the point.
