I planted 4 rhizomes last year and all 4 are doing very well. should i let nature take its course this year and just let them grow wild or should I trim back to the best 3 bines and keep the rest cut back?

From what I've read, the 3rd year is the first full production year.
Do some experimenting.

2 are groomed for production.
