They used to play with The Toasters and The Scofflaws all the time in the early 90's. Great shows.

Mephiskapheles! Their first album (and the DEMOn tape) are some of my favorite 3rd wave ska. Saw them so many times. Really nice guys too. I still have the shirt that they gave me not long after God Bless Satan came out.

And, if we want to talk old Moon Records, I have to bring up the New York Citizens. Unfortunately, I can't find any of my old favorites songs on youtube.

Having my roots in a town with a strong vegan movement (one of few cities where McDonalds was forced to shut down due to constant vandalism)

Well, thats kind of lame, but the American Hardcore documentary pretty much changed my life. Holy ****! From there i only went downhill, down into the HC-swamp, and down there i discovered "kängpunk"("boot-punk"), might be labeled as crust over there in the US of A?

and dwelved even deeper into the noiser types

where ****lickers are the gods, ****ing awesome chainsaw guitar, sounds just as ****ty on my vinyl.

Spräckta Snutskallar!!!

Anyhow, back to american hardcore ISM is a personal favorite of mine, excellent blend of HC and piano.I dont think the've released more than their "A diet for the worms" LP and "I think i love you" EP, but i'd be glad if someone can prove me wrong.

edit: yeah, in that video there's more to their discograpgy...

sorry if this is a repeat, but as a punk, i have no patience to read 300 posts,

i grew up to bands like this.

So, im drunk and figure i might as well do a third post:

Probably the best HC from Umeå, a bit of a shame that one of the singers got pregnant and i also guess the rest of the band got busy. Anyhow, awesome D-beat rock'n'roll.

on another note:

Shes never studied at an university
She's never been employed for a longer time, outside of politics
She likes soccer and Bruce Springsteen and is known to not read litterature or big documents.

Mona Sahlin you ****ing hippie!!

Excellent, and fast as ****, boot to the face of a politician that more or less ran a whole party down into the dirt due to some past scandals (buying toblerone-chocolate for the states money) and lacking trust among the majority of that party's voters, and the population in general.

DC original, and here I was thinking only us bay area boys had the pleasure of even knowing who fang was. Oh how I miss the farm. After Sammy got out and tried to bring fang back he went out and had a band called resistaleros, they were no fang, but totally worth checking out.

I don't think anyone was uncomfortable. Sometimes this thread sees no new posts for days on end.

BTW, yesterday I got a CD by Darkbuster. They're an odd combination of Oi, Punk and Ska.

Nice. I wasn't familiar with Tommy and the Terrors. Thanks.

I used to be in an oi/street punk band you might get into. I quit the band in 2007, but they continued on so you might still be able to catch them if you'd like. I'm pretty sure they changed their sound though.

The "songs with beer in the lyrics" thread inspired me.

White Kaps - Get Beer

i don't want to go to work, i just wanna
get beer
you say what you want to say, i just wanna
get beer
you say that i'm a jerk, don't care
get beer
you go straight thats your quirk, i just wanna
get beer
live in your life, i'll live mine, i just wanna
get beer
i'll drink beer of any kind, i just wanna
get beer
when i drive i never swerve, i just wanna
get beer
you go straight and i'll curve, i just wanna
get beer
go to town to get some beer
oh yeah, thats what i'm doing here
you live your life so clean cut
but it's not my life thats in a rut
get beer

NOFX - Beer Bong

If I want some beer,
I don't want to hear,
How I missed the show,
Because I drink too slow,
So pass me the beer bong,
It won't take very long,
For me to put down,
Torpedo to the ground.

Because drinking beer's to slow,
Beer bong's the way to go,
To go,
To go,
Don't drink, too slow

Beer Bong, Beer Bong, Beer Bong, Beer Bong

If I want some beer,
I don't want to hear,
How I missed the show,
Because I drink too slow,
So pass me the beer bong,
It won't take very long,
For me to put down,
Torpedo to the ground.

Because drinking beer's to slow,
Beer bong's the way to go,
To go,
To go,
Don't drink, too slow

I think my favourite punk band has to be "The Fall".

No one has mentioned them yet in 32 pages if my search is correct....wow

None of your new wave metrosexual greenday, blink 182 crapola.

I like the old as well as the new. The wife and I were watching "Kick Ass" last night and the music for one of the scenes was Banana Splits by The Dickies. I started dancing around the living room and she looked at me like I was nuts. :D
