I made my first pumpkin spice beer this year. It turned out alright and drinkable but it was really sweet, and not at all spiced. A lot of my friends haven't liked it much because it is just to sweet. So it has been sitting around for a month with me drinking one every once in awhile. I know next time to add more spice, and may even do an extra spice addition during secondary.
But I still have two cases of sweet pumpkin beer left. So tonight I thought, I'm just gonna sprinkle a bit on top of the the beer and gently mix it in before drinking. It turned out great! I absolutely love it now and the wife agrees!
So if you have had the same problem. Try it out. I was really surprised and pleased.
